If you're considering applying, here's what actually happens — not the hiring-page version, the real one.
Monday morning
You arrive at the Carlisle base for 06:30. Van's parked and ready. You scan in via the driver app, do a quick walk-round (the app guides you), and the route is on your phone before you pull off.
Tuesday through Friday
Routes vary — DPD multi-drop on weekdays, occasional DX or DHL pickup runs, InPost locker top-ups in the afternoon. The app shows you the day's stops, what's been signed for, and any reattempts. If anything goes wrong — a stopped postcode, a damaged parcel, a customer dispute — you're on the phone to the office in 30 seconds, not 30 minutes.
End of the week
Friday afternoon you submit your weekly invoice through the app. We've already calculated what we think you're owed (rota days × day rate or DPD percentage, whichever applies). You sign off, we approve, BACS goes out the following Tuesday. No spreadsheets, no PDFs, no waiting.
What you actually earn
Starting wage is £1,030 per week. Performance bonus is on top — best drivers in any given month earn meaningfully more. We publish the bonus formula. There's no mystery to who's paid what.
What we ask
Be on time. Be polite. Tell us when something's wrong, fast. That's it.
If that sounds like you, the apply form takes 5 minutes — start there.
